Installation & deployment of environmental monitoring equipment

Monitoring equipment taken to site, installed properly and commissioned to the requirements you supply — on live construction, demolition, infrastructure and urban sites across the UK.

How a deployment runs

Prepared before arrival, confirmed working before departure

A deployment is only finished when the system is running and the appointing organisation has the record to prove it. NVD works to that standard on every attendance.

What is covered

The physical and technical work of getting monitoring live on site

Before attending

Site and access requirements understood up front: where the monitoring point is, how the equipment gets there, induction and permit arrangements, and who NVD reports to on the day.

Mounting & placement

Equipment installed at the position instructed, using poles, brackets, tripods, fixings or existing structures as appropriate, positioned to stay secure and serviceable.

Power, batteries & solar

Power arrangements set up for the location and the expected duration — mains where available, otherwise battery or solar sized to how the equipment will actually be used.

Communications & antennas

Connectivity established and checked, including cellular and SIM arrangements and antenna positioning, so data reaches the appointing organisation's platform.

Cabinets & infrastructure

Enclosures, cabinets, cable management and supporting infrastructure installed so the system survives a working site and weather.

Commissioning & setup

Equipment configured and commissioned to the project requirements supplied by the client or their appointed specialist, then confirmed to be reporting as expected.

The same deployment work applies across disciplines — noise, vibration and dust and air quality positions — with the mounting, power and communications arrangements suited to each.

Before leaving site

Operational checks and geolocated photographic reporting

Every deployment ends with the same discipline: confirm it works, record it, hand it back.

  • Equipment powered, running and reporting before NVD leaves site
  • Connectivity confirmed and signal position optimised where necessary
  • Mounting, enclosure and cable runs checked for security and safety
  • Sensor or microphone arrangement confirmed as installed to instruction
  • Geolocation recorded for the monitoring point
  • Photographic record of the installation and its surroundings
  • Handback confirmation to the appointing organisation
  • Anything unresolved reported clearly rather than left on site

Working with your specialist

Installed to the project requirements you provide

Monitoring positions, measurement arrangements, thresholds and methodology can be supplied by the client or appointed specialist. NVD handles the practical deployment, configuration and commissioning of the system to those requirements and reports back on the completed field work.

On site conduct

Professional with site teams and client representatives

Site inductions, permits and project rules are followed as the site requires. NVD works alongside site management, security and other trades without creating extra supervision, and communicates clearly with whoever is representing the project.
